Guestbook and Pen

My mom decided she wanted to get us the guestbook and pen. Here's the guestbook and the pen that she found and showed me! I'm in love with them!

Pink and Green

Check out part 1 and part 2 of this gorgeous pink and green wedding! There's so many elements I would steal from it if I were allowed to go for all pink! :)

Wedding Shoes

I have decided that I want these babies for my wedding, but I want to get them dyed light pink! They're Kate Spade "Mattie." I love the bow and the fact that they only have a 2.5" heel. I originally wanted flats, but I can't find any cute ones, so I am totally fine with a small heel. These would make me 5'11", but Jeff is 6'1" so it's OK.

I saw the light pink shoe look on the Southern Weddings Blog and fell in love! It's very me to have pink shoes, so I definitely going for it!

We're Registered!

Jeff and I registered at Bed Bath and Beyond! We were going to do Fortunoff as well, but we found everything (including a china pattern we were both happy with) at Bed Bath and Beyond, so we didn't have to go anywhere else, which was so nice! The woman who helped us was so helpful! She even took out the china and everything we wanted and made a table setting so we could see how it would look! It was great!

The china pattern was what Jeff and I had the hardest time agreeing on. Anytime we've ever looked, we couldn't agree on anything! We found something today that I wanted more than him, but he was happy with. It's Lenox china in the Venetian Lace pattern. I am really excited about it! Our flatware is Pearl Platinum.

The other big things we registered for were a KitchenAid Mixer and this pretty Kate Spade vase. I also insisted on the 5 X 7 of this pretty Kate Spade frame.

There is obviously other stuff on the registry, but these are my favorites! We really didn't need a lot of stuff because we've lived in this house for several months now and we pretty much have everything we need!

In a few weeks, I am going to start wedding dress shopping! I basically know what I want and where it is, I just need to make sure it's pretty in person and looks good on me! Also, Jeff and I are going to LI the weekend of the 26th to book the photographer and DJ! I can't wait! :D

Save The Date!

I couldn't figure out how to edit my own proof, but here is what we ordered. Obviously, the girl on our magnet has dark brown hair, as does the groom, and all of our info is on it. We did keep the blue background though. I wanted pink, but I knew Jeff would not like that since there is going to be a lot of pink at the wedding anyway. I really like the way the blue turned out!

I ordered the magnets from this site. They got me a proof very fast, and I am very happy with how it looks!

Church

We've officially booked the Church! (the link to it is on the side) We met with the pastor to confirm the wedding date, and we have to meet with him a few more times 6 months or so before the wedding to talk about all sorts of important life events and decisions. Jeff and I have discussed all that stuff anyway, but I think it will be good to talk about it with someone else. I really like the pastor a lot, and he and Jeff's dad are going to kind of split the wedding ceremony, since Jeff's dad is a minister and wants to be involved also!

Our Reception Site

Here is where I'm having my wedding reception! It's gorgeous and I knew the minute we walked in there that it was the right place! The coordinator there was so incredibly sweet and we had a lot in common with her! I feel completely comfortable having her help us with our wedding!

Wedding Ideas

Here are some things I am almost positive will be incorporated into my wedding (almost all of the pics are from TheKnot.com. I would love any thoughts/ideas you girls have as well! :)

I love the ribbon, but probably in a brighter pink. This one looks kind of purpley on my monitor.

I like this a lot. I also like the cakes with the ribbon at the bottom of each tier. Jeff wants an actual bride and groom cake topper, so even though I like the flowers on top, I am willing to compromise.

I would remove the green from this and add some white peonies to go with the light and bright pink ones.

A centerpiece idea, but I want those little round shiny stone things instead of the grass and rocks. I love the square vase. Peonies are going to be the main flower for my wedding! When Jeff saw this picture, he told me we need to add in some white peonies and blue hydrangeas as well, so our centerpieces will incorporate all 3 of those colors!

The Night That Started It All...

Jeff proposed to me on the promenade at the Brooklyn Bridge. Before the proposal, Jeff, his mom, and I had dinner at Grimaldi's, and then went for ice cream. Jeff's mom willingly stood inside the extremely hot ice cream parlor to get the dessert while Jeff and I went outside to view the beautiful waterfall exhibit and NYC skyline. It was then that Jeff told me how much he loves me and how I am everything to him except one thing... I'm not his wife. Jeff got down on one knee and asked me to marry him with a stunning engagement ring! I, of course said yes! The rest of the evening was spent posing for pictures, calling and texting everyone we know to share the good news, and Jeff explaining everything about finding the ring and setting up the proposal. As we were about to leave, fireworks started across the water! It was truly a magical evening! We cannot wait to officially start our lives together on July 3, 2009.
Onto the pictures!

My amazing ring! 1.8 carats, platinum setting, pave set diamonds on the sides!

A reenactment of the proposal!

One of the many couple shots my fiancee and I took while at the site of our engagement!

Welcome!

Hi!

I've been blogging on my personal blog, Pretty In Pink and Green for over a year, and I recently had to make it private because I'm worried about my students finding it! I decided to make this blog to keep everyone in the loop with my wedding details, and keep the other blog for everything else! I will be moving all of the wedding posts from my other blog to this one and I can't wait to get opinions and ideas from all of you! :)

My wedding colors are pink, white, champagne, along with some blue accents to make Jeff happy, so that is where the color scheme for this blog came from!
