I'm awful about making resolutions and keeping them. I do plan on making one for 2009 (tone up so I look great at my wedding) and I will stick to it I hope!

VERY Productive Wedding Day

I got a ton done today! I signed and sent the contract to block off the hotel rooms for our of town guests, I booked a limo service for the wedding day, and I made a hair and makeup trial appointment for June and booked them for my wedding day! Now all I need to do is order invitations (we know what we want), favors eventually (we know what we want for those too), and schedule a tasting for the menu and design and taste cakes!

Birthday/Christmas Recap and Wedding Updates

My birthday was wonderful! I got lots of phone calls and Facebook messages from my friends, and Jeff and I went to dinner at my family's house. My mom made my favorite tortellini dish, as well as a peanut butter and chocolate birthday cake! I will post pics in another post soon. My family also exchanged Christmas gifts since I would be in LI for the actual holiday. My family game me some money and giftcards, which is exactly what I wanted.

We got to Jeff's mom/grandfather's house in the afternoon on Wednesday, and his mom and sister made me open my birthday gifts immediately. I got a beautiful silver jewelry box with my name engraved on it, some yummy smelling Philosophy Vanilla Birthday Cake body wash, and a Sephora giftcard. Christmas Eve night was spent at Jeff's Aunt and Uncle's house. There were quite a few people, but we had lots of fun! The food was yummy and it was nice to see everyone. We also played a White Elephant type of game, and ended up with some useless junk, but it was fun anyways!

Christmas was spent at Jeff's grandfather/mom's house. We opened stocking stuffers and presenta in the morning. I got tons of practical stuff, some giftcards, ornaments, and lots of my mineral makeup! I got very spoiled by everyone! Jeff and I decided to take it easy for gifts for each other since we have a wedding to pay for, so we are going to The Melting Pot on Friday for a nice dinner and splitting the bill. Thats our gift to each other. It was my first Christmas away from my family, and I missed them, but had a wonderful time with Jeff's family. I know my mother had a bit of a hard time with the fact that I wasn't there for the holiday, but she said she knows she has to get used to it! Sooner or later Jeff and I are going to host both families for a holiday!

Jeff, his sister, and I braved the mall the day after Christmas, and while traffic was a nightmare, the mall wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I got to spend my Old Navy giftcards as well as my Sephora ones. I also got a gorgeous Coach keychain. It's 3 rhinestone hearts in pinks and purples. It's exactly what I've been looking for, but I spent way too much on it! Jeff wasn't thrilled when he found out haha!

Today we went to Church and they had it decorated beautifully for Christmas. I saw these pretty candelabras on every other pew, and I asked Jeff's mom about using them for our wedding! She said she will hire the crew and that it's all set. It's going to look so pretty having candles lit all the way down the aisle! We are also doing a white aisle runner and pink rose petals. So pretty! I also blocked out a bunch of hotel rooms at the Hyatt that shares a parking lot with our reception site. I checked on our Bed Bath and Beyond registry and noticed that someone bought us one place setting in our fine china pattern! I'm so excited! I really haven't given out the registries to a ton of people, because my girls are going to throw me a bridal shower in the spring, so I don't want people to think they have to give a gift for the engagement party AND shower. I don't think that's right and I'd rather get any gifts during the shower. Jeff and I also set up our Disney honeymoon registry! Our wedding is in about 6 months! I cannot believe how fast time is flying by!

I have to drop off my engagement ring on Friday and it makes me sad. I've grown very attached to it! One of the small pave set side diamonds near the back of the ring fell out and I need it fixed! It's really not noticeable and no one else would know unless I told them, but JEff and I both want it fixed. Our engagement party is on January 10th, so I am only dropping off the ring if they can promise it back before then! I need my ring for the party! A lot of our families haven't seen it yet! They told me it would only be 2-3 days when I called, so hopefully it all works out!

I hope everyone else had a nice holiday! I still have another week of vacation! I am loving this time off! I needed it!

Today is my birthday! I'm 24 years old, which I know isn't old at all, but it seems old to me! I can't believe it! Time flies! It's awesome to think that this is my last birthday before I get married!

Jeff and I are heading to my family tonight and his family tomorrow afternoon. I hope everyone has a very safe and happy holiday!

Almost There!

2.5 days left till vacation, and Friday I only teach 1 class before we do holiday activities till noon! I can't wait to have 2 weeks off! :)

Treadmill

Our treadmill came yesterday! Jeff's mom bought it for us as a Christmas present and I'm so excited! I've been awful about exercising because the last thing I want to do when I'm done working is change and then go back out to the gym! I also didn't want to lug gym clothes to work and change there. Now the treadmill is in my basement, so there is no excuse! I'm amazed that I haven't gained weight from my lack of exercise, but I'd love to tone up a bit before my wedding! :)

Movies, Hockey, and Snow

Jeff and I saw 4 Christmases this afternoon. It was a cute, funny chick flick, with a predictable ending, just like all the others. I enjoyed it though. Then, we went to Buffalo Wild Wings. So yummy!

Tonight, we went to a Bridgeport Sound Tigers hockey game! They lost 6-3, but it was so much fun! We got to see 6 fights (Jeff LOVED that. I thought it was a bit silly but entertaining). I am so amazed by how fast these guys can skate! I can't stop watching them! I think we will be going a lot more this season!

It started snowing on the way home from the game! We're only supposed to get about an inch, but it's still kind of exciting! I don't mind snow if I have nowhere to go, and I'm home all day tomorrow, so this is fine with me! :)

Grey's Anatomy

I love this show. I've been watching it since day 1 and I've never missed an episode (thanks to DVR). However, lately, I am not liking it so much. I really, really hate the whole Izzy/dead Denny story line. If they were going to bring him back, they never should have killed him off in the first place. It's the dumbest story line ever. Jeff is so tired of it he doesn't really want to watch the show much anymore! What does everyone else think?

On a different note, this is probably one of the best Fridays ever! All the teachers got a casual day, we get a big staff breakfast today (we get one from the parents the first Friday of every month), AND we get a school sponsored happy hour this afternoon as a reward and thank you for getting reports (our version of report cards, but WAY more in-depth) done! I'm also going to visit my friend Amy and her adorable son Logan! Such a great day! :)
