New Phone!
I got myself a pink Blackberry Curve today. I'm already madly in love and obsessed with it! Anyone else have a Blackberry?

Already?
I ordered those cute shoes from my last post around 6:30pm last night from Zappos and did the regular free shipping. They were on my doorstep this afternoon. Can't beat that and they're adorable!

Our Centerpieces!
We went to the florist on Saturday to see a sample centerpiece and we were thrilled with what they did! Here's how it will look on the table:

We did blush and bright pink peonies and blue hydrangeas. Our florist recommended we get rid of the blush peonies and add in more bright pink ones. Once we saw the arrangement on an ivory tablecloth (which is what we will have at our reception) we decided she was right. The blush peonies got totally washed out.

I love the candles! So pretty!
We also discussed wrapping the bouquets. Mine is blush, bright pink, and medium pink peonies, my MOH has a smaller version of mine, and my other bridesmaids have bright pink peonies. My flowers will be wrapped in white ribbon with a sheer pink overlay, and the girls will have an ivory ribbon with light pink overlay. It looked so pretty! I'm also getting the stems completely wrapped because the florist and I were concerned that keeping the stems exposed might stain my dress!
Only 5 weeks left! Time is flying!

Gonna Cry
My MOH lost her sister 2 years ago this May 31st in a tragic car accident. Obviously it's been extremely hard for her and she misses her sister a lot. I was asking her the other day what I should do for my "borrowed and "old". I have new (the dress) and blue (rhinestone decals on my shoes that say "I do.") She has all of her sister's sapphire rings and she asked me if I would like to borrow one to tie into my bouquet as my something borrowed. Those rings mean the world to her, and I am beyond honored that she wants to lend me something like that for my wedding. I seriously almost lost it and I am so touched that she thinks that much of me to lend me something so special to her and her family (her parents are coming to our wedding as well.) I really don't have to words to express what this means to me...

Real Housewives NYC Reunion
I don't have it in me to do a huge post on this drama, so here's my concise take on all of it.
Kelly is batshit crazy and a huge bitch. She has no idea where she is, she's is in her own little world and she makes no sense (The grass isn't greener, no matter how much fertilize you have. WTF?) She definitely thinks she's better than everyone else. I had my mom watch part 1 of the reunion, and it was her first exposure to the NYC housewives, and she pegged Kelly and Ramona dead on. I really hope Kelly doesn't return next season.
Ramona is also batshit crazy, beyond annoying and high strung. She needs to be on meds and chill the hell out.
LuAnn didn't bug me too much during the reunion, but I'm not a huge fan of hers anyway. I did like that she was a bit more vocal and involved than she was for the season 1 reunion.
I loved that Jill called everyone out on their shit.
I appreciate that Bethenny can admit when she's wrong and own up to it. Love her and Jill.
Alex was the class act during this whole thing and really didn't get involved in much of the drama. I like her more than I did last season, but she's not my favorite.
I felt bad for Andy Cohen the host. He couldn't get a word in and had to listen to that screaming for 7 hours. Poor man.
What are your thoughts?

Dance Lessons
I'm a little behind on this one, but I scheduled our first dance lesson for May 28th here. Between parent conferences and Jeff's umpiring and softball games, that was the earliest we could do! We plan to go every Thursday before the wedding, which is 5 total lessons. We just want some basics so we don't look like idiots during our first dance! My friend did this before her wedding, had like 4 lessons and they looked great! It was funny because the guy I talked to on the phone is getting married July 5th, which is 2 days after Jeff and I! I'm just worried I will get emotional thinking about our first dance at the lessons and start crying! I'm such a dork!
Anyone else do dancing lessons before their wedding? How many lessons did you do?

Wedding Dress Fitting
I went to my first fitting today! When I bought the dress in October, they said it would need to be taken out a tad, but I didn't want that. I dropped 5 lbs. and the dress fit PERFECTLY today! All my hard work paid off, now I just need to maintain, which is fine because I still exercise and eat healthy. It was also nice to have my MOH there to help me in and out of the dress. It was pretty easy to dress me, which is good to know for the wedding day! :)
I am getting cups sewn into the gown so I don't need to wear any kind of bra, and I chose a French-type bustle (I wish I could post a pic, but I don't want Jeff to see!) My champagne sash will be tied in a knot for the ceremony, and then in a bow for the reception since it drags down past the dress once it's bustled. I also needed the gown hemmed since I had to order it too long since I'm a pretty tall girl (5' 8.5") and I'm wearing 2.5" heels. I didn't realize how expensive alterations are! They cost me over $200! Totally worth it tho! It was SO exciting wearing my Wedding Dress again! I pick it up on June 5th and I cannot wait to wear it for real in July!

Ceremony Music
I finalized the ceremony music with the Church's musician. It's all VERY traditional, but we love it! Now I can get our programs printed!
Processional: "Canon in D" By Johann Pachelbel
For my walk down the aisle: "The Bridal Chorus" by Richard Wagner (I always thought this part was called "The Wedding March," but I was wrong!)
The recessional: "The Wedding March" by Felix Mendelssohn
I also scheduled an appointment to view a sample centerpiece with our florist over Memorial Day weekend! I can't wait to see how it looks!

Real Housewives of NYC- Season Finale!
I was happy a lot of the stuff shown in the commercials wasn't as big of a deal as it was portrayed (The Jill and Bethenny fight). Shows like this have helped this sick girl (I have the flu, but NOT Swine Flu and have been out of work all week) get through the days!
Jill's sex talk with Ally... as a health teacher, I have NO problem having this talk with anyone, however, age 15 is too old to have it for the first time (granted I teach is to 15 year olds, but it's not their very first time hearing about some of it and I'm not their mom) Jill did her best, but they were both so embarrassed and uncomfortable it was kind of comical. I cringed at a lot of the convo, but in the end, I loved Jill's message to Ally, which was no matter what she does, mom won't judge her and it always there for her. I hope Ally believes that and comes to her mom if she needs to.
Ramona annoyed me a lot in this episode. I don't think it was necessary for her to pick at Jill for the step and repeat so much and cause a huge scene about the bar advertisements. I see nothing wrong with Jill wanting her company on the step and repeat, especially since she was running the show and was willing to pay even more money to get her logo on the thing! Ramona went on and on about how self-promoting is tacky, but then she went and... self promoted! She started that whole conflict between Jill and Bethenny and I'm glad she was called out on it. It looked like she got way too much satisfaction out of getting those 2 mad at each other. I thought the dress she wore to the charity event was unflattering on her and WTF was with her dancing with Simon? Someone was really drunk and that whole thing was awkward!
Speaking of Simon, his outfit absolutely killed me. I would die if my husband wore tight, red patent leather pants. Figures that Kelly loved his outfit. Also, I did not need to see him and Alex doing their awkward dirty dancing thing.
I thought Bethenny did a great job at the Moroccan fashion show, and she got the best outfits! There was some very interesting fashion there and I laughed at Jill's outfit! It was so typical of her to go all out with the theme of the event!
The charity event... I LOLed when Jill (who looked amazing in that dress) almost forgot to give Kelly her award! I thought she wasn't given one because she refused to let her name be used, and that would have been awesome if it were the case! I read an article yesterday where Jill said that Kelly hasn't delivered on the auction items she donated and they had to return the money to the people who bid on those items until they're delivered.
The whole fight with Jill and Bethenny... I think both of them overreacted, and I don't know if that event was the best time to start yelling. I can totally understand and relate to the urge to want to resolve it RIGHT NOW and not be pissy all night (I'm so like that) but it really wasn't the best time. I'm glad Bethenny didn't leave when Jill told her to (I probably would have) and that they resolved it quickly, dropped it, and moved on.
Hate Kelly, hope she doesn't come back next season. She added nothing positive to the show at all and I think she's a bit nuts!
Can't wait for the reunion! So much drama they had to make it 2 episodes!

Picture Time!
My Bridal Shower was amazing! My girls did an incredible job and I am so lucky to have all of them! The whole day flew by!

There were 2 mixed drinks offered. "The Jeff" which was Pina Coladas dyed blue, and "The Melissa" which was Strawberry Daiquiris.

I made hideous faces in a lot of the gift opening pictures because I was talking and one of my bridesmaids was just snapping away, so I'm only posting the cute ones. You can see them all on Facebook! This is my pretty Kate Spade vase!

Jeff came at the end to help load food and gifts into the car!

My bridal party. I love all of them so much!
Bridal Shower!
Today is my Bridal Shower! I'm so excited to see all my friends and family and see what the girls came up with! I know almost nothing about this event today except where to go and when! I will be sure to post pictures sometime this weekend! :D
