Friday.

I am getting married on Friday! Holy shit!

We leave for LI tomorrow to get our marriage license and start wedding week! It's all fun stuff, but I am getting nervous about this HUGE day (not the actual marriage part, but being the center of attention!)

I probably won't have time to post until after the wedding and honeymoon, but I wanted to thank all of you for being part of this through my blog! I have loved sharing all of the details with you and getting your thoughts and opinions on everything! It's be so fun counting down this past year with all of you! You guys are the best and I can't wait to show wedding pictures when I get back!

If you're Facebook friends with me, you will see pics much sooner, because I will probably post whatever I get on my camera quick before leaving for the honeymoon, and my friends will post and tag stuff too!

Next time I'm on here I will be a Mrs! I can't wait! :D

10 Days!

I am SO ready!

Favors, Programs, and Menu Cards!

These were the last things that needed to get done, and now we're finished! :D

Our programs. Neither of us cared about these too much lol. Honestly, the only people who will keep these are Jeff and I and the moms. I like the way they turned out. These were one of the few DIY projects we had and we wanted to keep it pretty, but simple! The inside is just the names of everyone involved in the wedding party and the ceremony itself. We wrote a thank you message on the back.

Our favors! We did mini glass candy jars with champagne, strawberry cheesecake, strawberry daiquiri, and french vanilla flavored jelly beans! I love the little labels that came with the jars!

Done!

We are DONE planning the wedding! The favors are all made thanks to some help from my bridesmaids and friends, and the programs are ready to be picked up from Staples tomorrow! Those were the last two things we had to finish! I will post pics of both tomorrow once we get the programs! Now we just need to wait for July 3rd to get here in 16 days! I cannot believe how close we are! :D

My Bachelorette Party!

I had the BEST time with my bridesmaids last night! We stayed at a Holiday Inn in Stamford, and took a cab van to White Plains for a delicious dinner and then bar hopping! I knew almost nothing about the night beforehand and it was kind of neat not knowing what was going to happen!

Cute balloons at the hotel! A few of the girls went and checked into the rooms (they booked 3) and decorated my room before coming to pick me up!

Got my bride tank! I also had a fabulous tiara with a veil, a shot glass, a martini glass, black and pink beads, a pink snap bracelet, glow bracelets, and jelly bracelets, and bright pink hoop earrings!

The theme of my bachelorette was 80's night since I love that decade's music so much! I also looooove Elton John, so my bridesmaids ordered me this shirt with a very appropriate Elton John quote on it! I almost died when I saw it and I loved so much! My girls had bright pink tanks that said "Bridesmaid" on the front and "80's Ladies" on the back!

Woo Hoo!

End of the night back at the hotel where we all crammed into my room to eat snacks and chat. We didn't go to sleep till 3:00am, and I didn't sleep well! I think I got an hour (I napped when I got home.) We had a great breakfast at the hotel before heading home! This night was everything I wanted and I love my bridesmaids so much for doing all of this for me! I was overwhelmed with the amount of thought and love they put into this night for me!

I'm in the teens of my wedding countdown now! OMG!

Freaky Friday!

I was tagged by One Fabulous Mom to name 5 weird/random things about myself.

1. I still count on my fingers and cannot do mental math. One of the many reasons I don't teach math!

2. I always silently count the stairs when I'm on them, even if I already know how many there are!

3. I ALWAYS check out other women's engagement rings and wedding bands! I thought that would stop once I got my own ring, but it hasn't!

4. I'm obsessed with my hair and am constantly touching it or playing with it.

5. I almost never burp. I surprise myself when I actually do because it's so rare!

Married Ladies! I want your advice!

I would love to hear from all you married ladies! What tips or advice do you have for a bride whose getting married VERY soon?

I finalized the ceremony details with the Church coordinator today! This is really happening and soon! OMG!

Wedding Updates

We've been very productive this past week!

* Had my final gown fitting and the dress and veil are now all steamed and in my possession. I can't lose any more weight (I've dropped like 10 lbs.) because the top is a teeeeeeny bit loose, but not enough to alter the dress. One of my girls can now tie my sash in a pretty knot and can do my bustle, which is a bit complex, so I'm happy! My dress is also pretty easy to get into, I just worry about getting in and out of the limo before I get bustled after the ceremony! If anyone wants to see my dress, leave me your e-mail address in the comments or e-mail me (address is in my profile) and I'll show you! (I know some of you have seen it already!) 

* Got the menus and programs printed. The menus are with us, the programs are still at the store because their paper folding machine is still broken! They said it should be done Wednesday, but this is the second time they've pushed the date back. I'm getting annoyed!

* Finalized the guest list, have a final head count (119 people) and got the seating chart done! I am only missing 3 place cards, so Jeff is going to print those this week, Jeff's mom is going to write in the table numbers in her awesome handwriting, and then that will be all set! We guaranteed 125 people , but the caterer said our vendors can count towards the 125, but we will still be short a couple people, which we still have to pay for. Kind of sucks, but we invited 165, so we're still saving money anyway and I wanted a wedding around this size! The reason we lost so many people is because a lot of people we told can bring guests aren't taking us up on the offer. 

* We've had a few dance lessons so far! We're making progress and getting the hang of it! I've been dancing in my wedding shoes, and they're VERY comfy and it's nice to break them in a bit! We have another lesson Thursday, and several in the next few weeks! Some of them are double lessons (1.5 hours instead of 45 min) because we paid for 10 and want to fit them all in before the wedding and we're in LI and can't do lessons the week of the wedding.

* My bachelorette party is on Saturday! All I know about it is I am not coming home till Sunday morning after we go out for breakfast, and that I need to wear jeans. My girls must have some sort of shirt for me to wear because they told me whatever top I wear is going to be changed! I will be sure to post pics!

* Next week (once teaching is over, we finish this Friday!) my MOH and one of my bridesmaids are going to come over and help me make the favors (jelly beans in mini glass candy jars with a personalized label on them).

* I think I finalized my hair and makeup choices. My trial is coming up soon (I had to schedule it like 3 days before the wedding due to my insane schedule and not being able to get to LI before then). I know what works for me and I'm not afraid to say if I don't like something, so I'm not nervous about the trial at all!

Only 3.5 weeks left! I can't believe it! :D

OMG!

Look at my wedding ticker! Only 1 month left! This entire year FLEW by and I know this last month will too! We're almost done with everything, just a few minor things left! I'm SO excited!
