Getting To Know You Sunday!

Hi everyone! Weekend recap coming later, but for now...

1 - Why did you start blogging?
I started reading a friend's blog and decided to do it myself! This isn't my first blog, I had another one, but I mentioned work on there too much for my liking. At first I made it private, but then I decided to just delete it and make a new blog that didn't mention much about work. I don't want to get in trouble for talking about students or whatever, even though I never used names/pictures, or told any really personal info, but I also like that people read my blog and it's harder to get and keep followers when you're private. I know that I tend to not read the private blogs as much because they don't show up on my feed list.

2 - Who's the one blog friend that you would want to meet most in "real life"?
There's so many bloggers I want to meet in real life! I can't pick just one!

3 - Why are you always concerned with losing that "extra 10 pounds" when chances are your husband/boyfriend/friends tell you that you look just fine the way you are?
I used to be really caught up in being super skinny and having the "perfect" body. My ex-boyfriend's girlfriend before me was tiny and skinny and I had a really hard time understanding why he went from her to me when we're so different looking with our bodies (meanwhile when we first started dating, I was on Accutane, which took away my appetite, so I was the skinniest I had ever been. That went away once the Accutane was done.) I have hips and a butt and I will never be tiny, but I exercise and try to eat right to be healthy and keep myself at a healthy weight. I am finally at a point in my life where I'm happy with myself the way I am! I wear a size 10, and that's totally fine with me! Jeff also loves a curvier woman and makes me feel beautiful, which always helps! :)

4 - What's the one thing you wish guys could understand about you?
My need to tell my entire story with all the details! I know it's hard for a lot of guys, my husband included, to pay attention to all of that, but I really need to tell the WHOLE story. I am working on trying not to mention every single detail so I don't completely bore my husband!

5 - Tattoos. How many do you have and how many are visible when you wear your "everyday" clothes?
I don't have any and don't want any. It's too permanent for me!

6 - What was the best year of your life and why?
2009 was a great year for me because we got married! I'm sure the year we have our first child will also be amazing! Hoping it's 2011!

7 - Name three things you would do if you were a man for one day.
Not sure. I really like being a girl!

8 - What's your alcoholic drink of choice that usually raises a few eyebrows?

I don't really order anything weird. I hate beer and wine, and I have a very low alcoholic tolerance, so I never really order strong "manly" drinks. I tend to stick with Sprite and vodka, amaretto sours (haven't had one of those in a long time tho), or a Malibu Baybreeze.

Fun post and I know what you mean about getting too personal on your blog. I’m really vague when I mention work too, especially since some of my co-workers know about mine (I regret that one).

You look fantastic just the way you are it’s nice to feel comfortable in your own skin. The older I get, the more accepting I am of myself. I’ve just been on a weight loss kick lately to be healthier in general. It’s funny, because the girl Geof dated before me was short and tiny. I’m just the opposite…lol.

I feel the exact same as you about tattoos. I can’t commit to something on my body forever.

Mmmm…. Malibu Baybreezes are so good!
