Boy Mom

I'm linking up with Kelly's Korner for Show Us Your Life. This week's theme is boy moms.

Growing up I always said I wanted a girl first. When I got pregnant I was CONVINCED I was having a girl. I was quite shocked when Landon showed us his goods on the ultrasound! I wasn't upset, but it took me a couple days to get into the mindset of having a boy. I had been looking at girl clothes and bedding, nothing for boys because I was sure I was having a daughter.

I've only been a mom for 10 months, but I can say that I LOVE being a boy mom! I love it so much that I really hope my next baby is a boy as well. Landon is just such a fun little guy and such a mama's boy, which I just adore. A few of my good friends who we have playdates with often have girls and I can already see such a difference between the genders. Landon is very loud, energetic, and rambunctions. He loves to make messes, and he can't sit still. A lot of his boy-friends are the same way. His little girlfriends are a lot calmer, quieter, and can play with toys without throwing everything all over the place. It really amuses me to see the differences at such a young age.

I have a feeling I am going to have a very messy, wild toddler on my hands, but I love it! Never in a million years did I think I would be so thrilled with a boy, let alone want all boys! Don't get me wrong, girls are sweet and I just love their clothes, but I am having the best time with my little man and want to do it all over again in a few years! I also think it would be so nice for Landon to have a brother, and I want to be queen of my house full of boys haha!

Yay for this post! I think I've finally wrapped my head around the fact that we're having a boy. Like you, I was convinced it was a girl. I still want a girl down the road, but maybe that will change! I'm so excited that baby S will be a big brother and that there will be a mini version of the husband.

I found your blog through Kelly's Korner and I have a sweet boy who just turned 11 months old. I feel the same way though, I wouldn't trade in being a boy momma for anything! Your little guy is precious!
