The Children's Museum.

Growing up, I did a lot of babysitting. There was one family in particular that I worked for a lot. They had 2 girls who were ages 2 and 3 at the time. The dad was in a Broadway show and the mom traveled a lot to do other shows. If the dad had a double show in the summer there were times I would watch the girls for a good 12-15 hours. Sometimes I would work at YMCA camp as a counselor all day and then go babysit the girls until midnight. It was crazy, but I loved that family so it was worth it. Anyway, that was about 10 years ago and one of the things I did with the girls was take them to our local children's museum. Their parents were members and had a caretaker pass as well, so we went several times when I was watching them all day and into the night. I fell in love with the place and thought it was adorable. Even back then I couldn't wait until I was older, married, and had a baby so I could take him or her to this museum.

Last Sunday my wish came true and we took Landon to that museum for the first time. We signed up for a membership so I can take him whenever I want. They have things for the smallest babies all the way up to older kids to do, so there really is something for everyone. There is a separate area that's fenced in for toddlers, and within that area is a special area for non-walkers. We walked around the entire museum, but Landon really loved the non-walker area of the toddler zone. There were all sorts of toys for him to play with and he really loved crawling towards the mirror and seeing himself. He was so happy there and it was just awesome to see. I plan on taking him once a week, and who knows? Maybe we will meet some new little friends!

He wasn't pleased that I wanted to hold him for a second and take a picture with him. He was going pretty much not stop the minute we got in there!

I think we're also planning on becoming members at the aquarium right near the museum so I can talk Landon there a lot as well. We have no activities scheduled for this summer, so I need things to do with L besides just going to the beach and running errands.

Moms, what do you do with your kids?

Aww he looked like he was enjoying himself, of course, before you decided to pick him up, hehe.

I love the museum but haven't gone in a while. I have to change that!

We used to go to lunch and park, aquarium, play places, and do a lot of playdates! We would get a group of six together and rotate houses!
