Here's a little update/photo dump of some things we've been up to that don't really need their own blog post.
Landon has been loving the children's museum! We try to go once a week in the morning before it's too crowded. I took this pic with my iphone and I love it.
Landon is also obsessed with the mall play area. He threw an all-out tantrum when we had to leave on Friday afternoon.
Since Landon is weaned, I have been trying to dry up my milk. I actually had to make Landon nurse both sides about a week and a half ago because I was so engorged and getting plugged ducts and he was the only one who could help me (pumping and hand expressing weren't working so well). A friend told me peppermint tea would help dry me up, so I've been having some iced in my Tervis Tumbler every day and it works! Landon hasn't nursed in over 3 days and I'm not engorged at all.
Speaking of Tervis Tumblers, Jeff got one for Father's Day. He loves it and plans on using it at work. I almost bought him a Yankees one, but he has enough Yankee cups.
Jeff also got this for Father's Day. You have no idea what a pain in the ass it was to get decent pictures! Landon wanted to crawl around, eat the letters, play with the camera, etc.
Landon tried peanut butter a couple weeks ago. He had no allergic reaction and he likes it on toast with a little jelly.
The photo book I made of Landon's first year came the other day. I ordered it from Snapfish and I'm thrilled with the results! I plan on doing one for Landon (and any other kids we may have) every year.
I found these towels at Target the other day and just had to buy them. They're so bright and happy for summer!
This is the Munchkin Snack Saver, AKA one of the best snack containers ever! I like this one a lot because Landon can reach in himself and have as much snack as he wants. I got a strap to wrap around it and the stroller so Landon can't drop it on the floor when we're out. I bought a 2 pack off of Amazon and of course the other one is pink and purple. We use that one at home and it's not like Landon really cares about the colors. I really don't understand why it's so hard for Amazon to offer color selection though. This isn't the first time I've ordered something for my boy and got it in pink. There's several things I haven't ordered, but wanted to because I couldn't pick my own colors and had to risk getting something flowery or pink.
My mother's day present was ready a couple of weeks ago and it's beautiful! The problem is that the ring was too big, so I brought it back, they fixed it, but now the damn thing is too small! I have to go back this week and have them fix it again. I feel like a moron and I'm so embarrassed that this keeps happening! The day I was sized for the ring I must have been retaining water, so it fit well then, but not when I'm not puffy. The smaller size fit well in the store, but then when I actually started doing things and was outside in the heat, my finger swelled a bit and it was hard to get off! I guess I need it sized somewhere between a 5.5 and a 6. The jeweler has been awesome about getting it to fit right for free, but I'm mortified that I have to go in again. They're going to think I'm nuts!
